About the Site

INCLUSION students are learning in the same classroom as their peers in John Dewey High School. They will receive direct Special Education Teacher Support Services (SETSS)

Where lessons are modified according to their levels, learning style and accommodations as mandated in their TEP and may recommend

• Direct SETSS- provides specially designed instruction part-time to a group of up to eight students
• Indirect SETTI works with the general education classroom teacher to adjust the learning environment and to modify instruction to meet students' needs.
• A combination of the two

TEACHERS Main Tasks inclusion

• Working closely with students in the general education classroom during push in Services to provide instructional support and differentiated instruction.
• Using evidence-based services and supports to foster the cognitive behavioral and social-emotional development of students with disabilities.
