Special Olympics

On Saturday 01/27/24, our Special Olympics Floorball team of students and alumni traveled to Westchester to participate in the Special Olympics Hudson Valley Regional Floorball competition. 22 teams from around the State were there to compete. Our Knights won the opening match against the Babylon Bobcats(Long Island) with a dominating 8-0 performance. The Knights then advanced to the Gold Medal match vs the P 277Q @ Riverview Otters. It was a back and forth contest all game long and the match ended up going into Overtime tied at 3-3. The overtime period was also a fierce battle and with neither team scoring, we had to resort to Penalty Shots to decide the winner. Our Knights prevailed 3-2 on penalties...winning the Division 2 Gold medal!
