Dear P721K Students and Families,

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year at P721K Roy Campanella School!

On behalf of our entire staff, I am delighted to welcome both our returning families and those joining our school community for the first time. We are excited to begin another year of learning, growth, and opportunity with you and your child.

At P721K, we believe that every student can learn, grow, and achieve their fullest potential when they are provided with high-quality instruction, meaningful opportunities, and a supportive school community. Our teachers, paraprofessionals, therapists, counselors, and support staff are committed to ensuring that every student feels safe, valued, respected, and included.

Our Focus This Year: Every Student Ready for Life

This school year, our focus is to help every student become ready for life by strengthening:

Learning and Communication through engaging instruction and literacy across all classrooms

Attendance and Student Engagement by helping students feel connected and excited to come to school every day

Independence and Future Readiness by developing the skills students need at home, in the community, and for future employment and adult life

Through academics, vocational experiences, community-based instruction, arts, wellness activities, and social- emotional learning, we will work together to prepare students for successful and meaningful futures.

The well-being of our students, families, and staff continues to be a priority. Throughout the year, we will promote physical, emotional, and mental wellness using REAL WELLNESS a lifestyle philosophy through mindfulness activities, social-emotional learning, healthy lifestyle initiatives, and positive school experiences. We believe that when individuals feel supported and connected, they are better able to learn and thrive.

Strong partnerships between home and school are essential for student success. To keep families informed and connected, I will host a Family Zoom Meeting on the second Thursday of each month.

These meetings will provide:

• School updates and important information
• Opportunities to ask questions
• A forum for sharing concerns and suggestions
• A chance to connect directly with me and school leadership

As your Principal, I am committed to listening, learning, and working alongside our families and staff. Together, we will continue building a school community where every student feels welcomed, supported, challenged, and prepared for the future.
